The due-for-2014 Jaguar XFR-S was unveiled last month at the Los Angeles Auto Show in the US and it would be the most powerful four-door sedan the company has ever made.

Based on the already powerful XFR sedan, the same 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine as in the standard car produces 550 PS of power and 680 Nm of torque in the XFR-S version, an increase of up to 40 PSand 55 Nm that puts it in the league of the BMW M5 and Mercedes-Benz E-63 AMG. Jaguar claim that there isn’t any significantreduction in fuel efficiency in spite of the higher state of tune.

Jaguar have also upgraded the suspension system, electronic aids and aerodynamics for higher performance along
with tweaks inside the cabin.

According to Jaguar, the XFR-S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and has a restricted top speed of 300 km/h, but we will have to wait for a year  o find that out.
