The sixth element may just be heading out of Sant’Agata Bolognese very soon. Lamborghini have been spotted testing what appears to be a road legal version of their Sesto Elemento extreme light-weight supercar.

Lamborghini has been showing some truly radical designs of late, like the Veneno, and more recently, the Egoista. The Sesto Elemento was one of the first of these, and used cutting-edge technology and materials in its construction. The original creation was powered by the 570-PS, 5.2-litre V10 engine from the Gallardo Superleggera, but unlike the light-weight Gallardo of the time, the Sesto Elemento weighed in at 999 kgs, giving it a power-to-weight ratio of 570.57 PS/tonne.

Lamborghini may just put the Sesto Elemento into limited production. In that case, expect the price tag to be around $2 million (Rs 10.8 crore). On another note, with the last of the Gallardos going out of production, a replacement car is definitely due. We can only speculate that the new car could be based on the Sesto Elemento and could very well feature quite a few of the design elements as well.
