Inheriting the Land Cruiser’s DNA, Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. (TKM) announced the launch of the New Land Cruiser Prado in India. The new Prado combines the rugged dominance of its Land Cruiser heritage along with new technology and class. The exteriors of the new Prado get newly designed front grille, bumper, fog lamps, head lamps, rear combination lamp and LED headlamps along with DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps). The interiors are where you’ll notice a lot of change.
There are ornamental changes in the centre console- upper, centre and rear. It has the option of a second row seat heater and has a tyre pressure monitoring system. As far as new technology goes the new Land Cruiser Prado gets three new systems – Crawl Control (a system that makes accelerator and brake operations unnecessary when driving over jagged off-road terrain or on slippery surfaces, enabling the driver to concentrate fully on steering.
A Multi-Terrain Select (a system that allows you to choose between various road condition modes- Rock; Rock and Dirt; Mogul; Loose Rock; and Mud & Sand) and a Multi-Terrain Monitor (used in conjunction with Multi-Terrain system to provide a clear view of the surroundings).
Bookings for the new Prado have already begun and Toyota has launched the vehicle in sober colours of white pearl crystal shine, silver metallic, grey metallic, dark blue metallic and black along with two interior colors (Flaxen & Black) giving you the option of a combination of dark exteriors and lighter interiors or vice versa.
