It SeeMS that Mahindra are gearing up for the launch of the Ssangyong Rexton in the country.
The Rexton, first unveiled in the country at the 2012 Auto Expo, has been spied quite a few times in different parts of Maharashtra now, the latest of these spy pictures showing an SUV with Mumbai registration plates. Designed by Giorgietto Giugiaro’s Italdesign studio, the Rexton is expected to be launched here with a 2.7-litre common rail turbocharged diesel engine producing about 190 PS of peak power and a massive torque of 407 Nm. Internationally, it is offered with both automatic and manual transmissions, but we expect Mahindra to offer only the five-speed manual transmission here. There’s an exhaustive list of features and gadgets in respect of the Rexton, which would make it a worthy opponent for the likes of the Outlander and CR-V when it does finally land here.
