The new BMW X3 xDrive30i is being locally assembled at the company’s car manufacturing plant in Chennai. The petrol-powered SUV is now available in Luxury Line trim and at Rs 56.90 lakh (ex-showroom); that’s Rs 20,000 more than its diesel counterpart.
The X3 30i Luxury Line comes with a chrome front grille, two-tone cladding in matte grey and chrome trim, an air-breather in chrome, and 19-inch alloy wheels. Powering the car is a two-litre petrol unit which produces 252 PS and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. The unit comes in combination with an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission which helps the X3 accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds. The BMW X3 xDrive 30i is only the second petrol-powered SUV in its class and will go up against the Mercedes-Benz GLC 300.
