Hyundai has revealed the HB20S compact sedan for the Brazilian market.
This is the third localised model launched after the HB20 hatchback, which won the award for “2013 Brazilian Car of the Year” and the HB20X crossover.
While the HB20S is not set to enter the Indian market; it is indeed an interesting proposition to replace the aging Accent in India and step up as the new compact saloon positioned below the base model of the Verna. If that happens, we expect the car to be powered by the 1.2L or 1.4L petrol engine and the 1.4L diesel engine found in the i20. Another thing we can expect if it is launched is very competitive pricing as the HB20S will have to take on the likes of the established Maruti-Suzuki DZire and the upcoming Honda Amaze.
