AK3_2012MCLAREN1THE WORLD WAS SURPRISED AS THE British performance car marque, McLaren, lifted the covers off what could be their most memorable gift to the world of supercars, the new P1.

This ‘ultimate supercar’, as the company calls it, would be witnessed by enthusiasts round the globe at the Paris Motor Show.

The basic inspiration behind the P1 was to give the driver the best track tool and an ultimate road car, both in one. News has it that the P1 will make use of the KERS (Kinetic  Energy Recovery System, as used in the F1) with its V8 and will get a power boost from 600 to about 800 PS. More details will become available only after its grand unveiling at the show. With its sharp styling and ergonomics, the car has been designed to have the best aerodynamics and thus offer the best track timings. The in matte black and have been sculpted by McLaren’s tunnel experts. The roof’s air scoop; sharp, mean-looking headlamps; the single ridge running through the door, door extending to the rear wing – one look at the car and you know that McLaren are certainly not kidding with this one. The car uses MP4-12C’s carbon-the P1 may reduce the ride height, thus providing more downforce. There is a lot in the air, but it would certainly be the best to discover more about the P1 at the Paris Motor Show ourselves.
