Europe’s largest carmaker has announced the launch of the new Jetta 1.4L TSI in India today.
Available with a petrol powerplant, the German giant has priced the Trendline at Rs 13.6 L and the Comfortline at Rs 15.07 L, both ex-showroom, New Delhi.
The engine is capable of giving a maximum power output of 122PS@5000rpm and a maximum torque of 200 Nm@1500-4000 rpm. The car comes fully loaded with an Electronic Stability Programme, Electronic Engine Immobilizer and hill hold control etc. The Jetta comes with climatic air conditioner, height adjustable front seats etc, and will be available in 6 different colours.
Member of Board and Director, Volkswagen India, Mr. Neeraj Garg, who was present at the launch stated that fuel efficiency has become crucial for every customer looking to buy a new car. Customers that are looking to buy a petrol vehicle are either postponing their buying decision or purchasing a diesel car instead. As such, the Jetta TSI is a powerful car with an extremely efficient engine consuming less fuel and would prove to be a value for money proposition for the current scenario.
