Official pictures released by the company
HYUNDAI HAVE released the fi rst offi cial pictures of their new SUV, the Santa Fé.
Based on the company’s newly developed ‘Storm Edge’ design – which really is an extension of their ‘Fluidic Sculpture’ design language – the third-generation Santa Fé sports a more aggressive and modern look than its predecessor. The design adopts a hexagonal grille – a key design cue of the Hyundai family look – a two-tone voluminous-bottom car body and wider front and rear bumpers, larger front fog-lamps and LED driving lights incorporated into the fog-light housing.
The aggressive styling continues to the sides with fl ared wheel-arches, huge outside rear-view mirrors, a prominent belt-line and an upward-swooping window line. At the rear, the SUV gets reworked LED tail-lamps and re-designed tail-gate and bumper. Hyundai claim that the details on the new Santa Fé’s exterior suggest a new design direction for Hyundai’s next-generation SUVs. The company has released no details of the powerplant as yet, but we expect that there will be a diesel option, at least in Europe.
