Ferrari will show the new GTC4Lusso, the latest addition to the Prancing Horse range, replacing the FF.
The GTC4Lusso marks the return of the GTC nomenclature for the 2+2 seater. The ‘4’ is for the four seats it brings, while Lusso, Italian for luxury, is only fitting considering it is a Ferrari grand tourer that combines the very best that modern-day motoring has to offer. The revered ‘Lusso’ name is revived, with the 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso being one of the most memorable Ferrari cars till date.
The latest four-seater four-wheel-drive Ferrari looks more flowing and even more modern, with parallels easily drawn to the unmistakeable front-end reminiscent more of the F12berlinetta than the previous FF. The wide front grille, long bonnet and pronouned double-wave side profile hold the four-seater cabin with its swooping roofline in place. The interior features a dual cockpit set-up for the first time, allowing the passenger to also get their share of the action, or switch the display to something other than wild hair-raising numbers.
The GTC4Lusso will pack a tinkered naturally-aspirated 6.3-litre V12 with 690 PS at 8,000 RPM and an equally incredulous 697 Nm of torque, that arrives at 5,750 RPM, with 80% of it – just under 560 Nm – available from 1,750 RPM! Paired to the seven-speed twin-clutch auto ‘box is another first: the 4RM-S four-wheel-drive system that now incorporates rear-wheel steering for maximum agility and responsiveness in all conditions. Performance is, without a doubt, going to be blistering with a promised 3.4-second sprint from 0-100 km/h and a 335-km/h top speed.
The GTC4Lusso will début at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show and make its way to India thereafter at a price around the Rs 4 crore mark.
