Recent news indicated that Nissan would auction a special edition ‘Bolt Gold’ GT-R for charity.

The company has revealed that the car to be auctioned will be a custom gold-painted 2014 GT-R, to be sold through a special eBay online auction from 22nd November to 3rd December 2012. Anybody from across the world may bid for the car, and the proceeds will be donated to the Usain Bolt Foundation working in Jamaica.

The new ‘Bolt Gold’ GT-R will be similar to the golden GT-R given to Bolt after his performance at the London 2012 Olympics. The car will be built once the auction is completed, and will be delivered to the winning bidder in March 2013. the cabin will feature many gold elements along with a plaque with Bolt’s signature embossed on it.

Other items to be auctioned with the car include autographed racing goods such as t-shirts, driving boots, fireproof suits and helmets. The ‘Bolt Gold’ GT-R will mechanically be identical to the standard 2014 car. The company had previously announced that it would soon start working with Bolt on a limited-edition GT-R to be sold to the public, details of which would follow later.
