Tata Safari Storme (2)

The Tata Safari Storme has undergone some changes. Most notably, there’s been a bump up in max power. And that means the new Safari Storme is as butch an SUV as it ever was. Perhaps, even more so now

In a world where change is the only constant, there’s something to be said about anything that has managed to stand the test of time and continues to soldier on. So it is with the Tata Safari. Although the Safari is already two decades old, Tata Motors’ old warhorse continues to gallop. The first proper refresh came in the form of the Storme in 2012, and now, three more years later, there’s a new Storme in the proverbial teacup. Introducing the “new” Tata Safari Storme.

Visually, one could argue that not much has changed on this big butch SUV. The external styling is still charmingly old-school even though a bit here and a bob there have changed. Changes are certainly not enough to turn heads, unless you spot the Land Rover styled honeycomb grille. However, differences are quite a bit more on the inside. The first thing you notice is the upping of the ante by Tata Motors where quality is concerned. As in all the Tata Motors vehicles that we have reviewed in the recent past, the quality of the interior in the new Safari Storme is improved over that of its predecessor.
