Jaguar Land Rover’s Pune facility received a visit from Lord Green, the UK Minister for Trade and Investment.
Lord Green was accompanied by delegates from 11 British trade bodies representing more than 20,000 UK companies.
The aim of the visit was to identify further opportunities for UK and Indian businesses to work together. Speaking about the visit, Lord Green expressed his delight at visiting JLR’s facility in Pune and appreciated the delivery of premium British design and engineering to Indian customers. He commented that JLR with the help of its parent company Tata, had been very successful and shared his pleasure at seeing JLR products on Indian roads.
The JLR facility at Pune manufactures the Land Rover Freelander 2 from the company’s Halewood plant in Liverpool, UK and the Jaguar XF from its Castle Bromwich plant in Birmingham, UK.
