Subaru has unveiled the all-new WRX Concept and whether or not you happen to be a fan of the rather legendary rally car, you can’t help but admit that this new one is quite the looker.
The new WRX comes after somewhat of a tough spell; the Impreza was one of the most desired cars around but in recent years it hasn’t had much of an impact.
The new car aims to fix just that. With bold new styling and aggressive lines, the WRX looks 100% new. Every element on the car has undergone a major redesign. The prominent hexagonal front grille flanked by LED headlights, the large air scoop on the bonnet and the rising shoulder line with flared wheels arches supporting it all point to an extremely sporty intent. And sporty it will be. The new WRX is expected to sport a turbocharged boxer engine and Subaru’s renowned all-wheel-drive system. This means the muscular proportions will have the agility to match and deliver an enthralling performance; which is all but expected of Subaru. The details go on with the car being lower, wider and much sleeker. It features a carbon fibre roof to reduce overall weight and allow for a lower centre of gravity. The lightweight alloy wheels and fluorescent yellow calipers and styling accents on the quad exhaust tips amidst the aggressive diffuser only add to the desirability quotient.
All in all, we hope to see the car hit production sooner rather than later.
