To meet the rising demand in the market as also to reduce the waiting period Mahindra and Mahindra have decided to increase the production of some of their hotselling products, such as the XUV 500, Quanto and SsangYong Rexton, with immediate effect.
The capacity for the manufacture of the Quanto has been raised to 3,500 units, that in case of the XUV500 to 4,500 units and that of the Rexton to 500 units per month.
The number of bookings received for all these models support this announcement. The Quanto has garnered more than 12,000 bookings within the first two months of its launch while deliveries of the XUV500 are taking place as per schedule. The SsangYong Rexton, the company’s premium sport utility vehicle, which has over 1,500 bookings across nine cities, will also be launched in additional cities from this month onwards.
