Renault India are ready to make their presence felt once again in the Indian market after the recent introduction of the Duster.
The french marque is now ready to treat the Indian market with an entry-level sedan offering in the form of the Scala. The 1.5 litre diesel power train sedan is capable of delivering 85 PS. All set for an early November launch, the Scala will be priced around the Rs 6-8 lakh bracket. Based largely on Renault’s sister company’s offering, the Nissan Sunny, the Scala saloon is expected to sport minor modifications on the headlamp, tail-light, bumper and grille.
Company officials have stated that Renault may introduce the 1.5 litre petrol option on the Scala later, and they are working out the dealership network in the Indian market, also adding that the dealership count will go up from 55 to 100 by this year end, covering the top 80 cities in the country.
