Aditya will compete in the formidable Audi R8 LMS.
After proving his mettle over two seasons of the Audi R8 LMS Asia Cup, Indian racing sensation Aditya Patel has now signed with Audi to compete in the Blancpain GT Series Asia. The GT Series is an established and hotly contested European championship, and the first Asia edition has attracted top manufacturers including Audi, Aston Martin, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes and Porsche, Top racers from all around the world will compete in 12 races held over six weekends in 2017, with the season kicking off at Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit in April, before moving to racetracks in Thailand, Japan and China.
Like its European counterpart, the Blancpain GT Series Asia is based on a two-driver format, and Patel will partner with Malaysian-born Australian driver Mitch Gilbert. With a combined racing experience of over 20 years, expect the Patel-Gilbert duo to make a strong impression in the series.
