The Honda Amaze has created quite a buzz since news about the car broke earlier this year.

Honda have now spiked the already high interest levels by launching a website (amaze.hondacarindia.com) about their brand new compact sedan. The new website has a high resolution image of the Amaze prototype and a section where visitors can submit their comments about the car. There is also a section with expert reviews from experienced motoring journalists (read our Editor’s review at amaze.hondacarindia.com/pdfs/AspiBathena.pdf).

The car will be launched in 2013 in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol is likely to be the 1.2 litre mill from the Jazz/Brio, but what has got Indian motorists really excited is the impending India debut of Honda’s first diesel engine – a 1.5 litre powerplant that will also debut with the Amaze.

Honda recently organised a brief drive of the Amaze diesel in Japan for the media (read all about it on Car India’s website at carindia.in/reviews/first-drive/1717-honda-ready-to-amaze-india) and first impressions have been positive, with plaudits specially for its smooth performance and good driveability. The new website will only heighten the buzz around the car and have more eager customers lining up at Honda dealerships. Watch this space!
