Audi celebrated the sale of 6,000 units of its A6 luxury sedan in six months in India by introducing a special edition of the A6.
Class-leading features include adaptive air suspension with Audi drive select, four-zone deluxe air conditioning, rear side airbags, Bose surround sound system, MMI touch, comfort key, MMI remote control, front co-driver seat adjustment from the rear and LED headlights.
Speaking on the occasion, Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India, said that the special-edition A6 was introduced in recognition of customer loyalty that helped the A6 earn the ‘World Car of the Year’ award. He mentioned that the A6 has been a huge success in India, and includes as standard fitment most key features from the flagship A8, which positions it as offering maximum value in its segment.
The special edition A6 features adaptive air suspension with Audi Drive Select offering a choice of four modes – Comfort, Dynamic, Auto and Individual. On the inside, the car has a four-zone air conditioning system controlling temperature as per the intensity and position of the sun, a Comfort Key, MMI Touch configured to allow convenient operation of MMI functions without diverting sight from the road (also includes a MMI remote control), a 14-speaker Bose Surround Sound System claimed to offer a three-dimensional listening experience, seat adjustment for the front co-driver (adapted from the A6L in China), and rear side airbags. On the outside, new LED headlights with an approximate lifespan of 10,000 hours are claimed to be the closest re-creation of daylight while maintaining a bright and stylish appearance.
The special edition Audi A6 is available with a 2.0-litre TDi diesel engine or a 3.0-litre TDi at an introductory price starting from Rs 46.33 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
