Škoda India recently announced the appointment of Mr Pawel Szuflak as the Director, Sales & Marketing for Škoda Auto India.
The Poland-born Mr Szuflak is a 16-year veteran at Škoda Auto and has extensive experience in the global automobile industry.
Mr Szuflak’s role will include strengthening the company’s position in the Indian market, which the company believes is a key market for its 2018 growth strategy. One of the first tasks Mr Szuflak will handle is the launch of the new Škoda Octavia. Apart from new launches, he will also look at sales and aftersales performance of existing products. He will aggressively work to improve customer service and to drive the new product launch strategy for Škoda in India. He will also steer the network and marketing functions for the brand in India.
Mr Szuflak joined Škoda in Poland in 1997 in a marketing role, with the responsibility of preparing and supervising the advertising campaigns of the company. He has been closely involved with the evolution of ŠKODA in ikodational markets and has worked in other European nations as well as China in the past. In China, Mr Szuflak held the position of Head Dealer Network Strategy and operations, wherein he built a dealer network in the Chinese market while achieving the top slotin the Chinese Sales Satisfaction Index study research for three successive years.
Mr Szuflak has developed a deep understanding of the automotive industry. As Head of Department, International Sales Strategy, Škoda Auto a.s, he played a key role in implementing a strategy development system for the VW Group. He was also responsible for successfuly developing and approving the new Škoda Distribution Strategy.
