Isuzu Motors have signed an MoU with the State Government of Andhra Pradesh to start LCV manufacturing operations in the state.

The Japanese company has acquired 430,000 sq. metre of land at Sri City in southern Andhra Pradesh, just 55 kms from Chennai. The area is a bustling centre of activity on account of its accessibility via road, rail and sea.
The signing ceremony was attended by several dignitaries from the State Government, Isuzu Motors, Japan and all major media representatives.  Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and Minister for Major Industries, Sugar, Commerce & Export Promotion, Dr. J. Geeta.
Isuzu hopes to have the plant up and running in just over two years time with an initial target of 100,000 vehicles per annum. Isuzu presently sell the MU-7 SUV and D-Max pickup through their two appointed dealers in Delhi and Hyderabad.
