Audi’s latest sportsback, the RS7, arrested the attention of one and all as it made its international début at the Detroit Motor Show recently.
The new Audi RS7 oozes aggression, both in terms of looks and performance, thanks to the extra 140 PS of power (562 PS now) churned out by its 4.2-litre, twin-turbo V8. As for cosmetic changes, things like new front and rear bumpers, a high-gloss honeycomb front grille, add-on parts in matte aluminium, a power-extending spoiler, a new diffuser and two elliptical tailpipe trims for the exhaust system are some of the elements that make sure that the new RS7 looks distinct from the rest of the RS line-up from the company.
The interior remains a class apart, as has always been the case. The engine has been mated with a six-speed tip-tronic transmission and is also powered by Audi’s quattro permanent all-wheel drive.
