Audi’s facelifted Q5 debuted at the Paris Motor Show earlier this year, and now the German company has confirmed an India launch in January 2013.
Exterior changes include the grille that is now in Audi’s new hexagonal shape with detailing in the grille differing as per the particular engine. Fog lights with chrome ring surrounds, an altered bumper, and new daytime running lamps round off the changes to the front end, while the rear gets a new diffuser and different LEDs for the tail lights. The interior too has received some subtle tweaks that serve to improve the finish and feel of the cabin.
Powering the new Q5 will be three engines – a 2.0 litre TDI, a 2.0 litre TFSI petrol, and a 248.3PS 3.0 litre six-cylinder TDI. A small price correction is expected too as Q5 will now be assembled in India. The current model of the Q5 is presently available at a discount of up to INR 2 lakhs.
