Volkswagen have introduced the petrol-powered Cross Polo 1.2 MPI in India.
Building on the success of the Cross Polo TDI, the drop in petrol prices have led to the Cross Polo bring offered with the 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine. The motor makes 75 PS and 110 Nm of torque. With an claimed fuel economy figure of 16.47 km/l, the Cross Polo delivers an optimum blend of power, safety, and fuel efficiency.
The other highlights on the new Cross Polo include dual-beam halogen headlamps, ‘Cross’ front grille with a chrome accent, 15-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 185-section tyres, ‘Cross’ bumpers with silver accents, upgraded interiors with ‘Cloud Titan Black’ upholstery, and a 4-star NCAP safety rating, thanks to standard dual front airbags.
Speaking at the launch of the New Cross Polo, Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, said “With the New Volkswagen Cross Polo, we will inject some excitement into the premium hatchback segment in India. With its rugged, dynamic styling, upmarket interiors and high levels of safety, we are sure the new Cross Polo will appeal to buyers who like a bit of sportiness and individuality in their cars.”
The bookings for the new Cross Polo 1.2 MPI will begin from the 15th of January, with the pricing starting at Rs 6.94 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
