Maruti Suzuki have cut the prices across the entire S-Cross range by up to Rs 2.05 lakh.

In a bid to strengthen their presence in the crossover segment, Maruti Suzuki have cut prices of the S-Cross compact crossover by Rs 40,000 to 66,000 on the DDiS 200 and Rs 2.05 lakh on all the DDiS 320 variants. The move comes as a result of stiff competition from the Hyundai Creta.

The price cut now makes the DDiS 320 variants, powered by the 120-PS/320-Nm 1.6-litre turbo-diesel engine, even more affordable. This is also a means to push sales of the more powerful variants, which accounted for just about 12 per cent, with the DDiS 200 variants making up the rest.

Maruti Suzuki also have the new Vitara Brezza incoming, so it will be interesting to see how competitively their all-new compact crossover will be priced following its Auto Expo reveal.

Here’s what the new ex-showroom Pune pricing looks like:

1.3 DDiS 200 Sigma: Rs 8.04 lakh (- Rs 55,000)
1.3 DDiS 200 Delta: Rs 8.75 lakh (- Rs 66,000)
1.3 DDiS 200 Zeta: Rs 9.32 lakh (- Rs 40,000)
1.3 DDiS 200 Alpha: Rs 10.59 lakh (- Rs 46,000)

1.6 DDiS 320 Delta: Rs 10.23 lakh (- Rs 2.05 lakh)
1.6 DDiS 320 Zeta: Rs 11.25 lakh (- Rs 2.05 lakh)
1.6 DDiS 320 Alpha: Rs 12.02 lakh (- Rs 2.05 lakh)
