Hyundai Motors, one of India’s largest car manufacturers have launched their corporate social responsibility (CSR) program called “Safe Move – Traffic Safety Campaign.’ This initiative has been created in association with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
The Hyundai Motor Group CSR constitutes of four main programs – Safe Move, Green Move, Happy Move and Easy Move. The Safe Move campaign aims to spread awareness as well as promote better road and traffic safety habits amongst children.
Apart from joining hands with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the company also roped in Shah Rukh Khan as the ambassador for the Safe Move initiative. The program will have online and offline engagement channels. A 26 episode series will be aired on Hungama TV, along with special contact with schools and Residential welfare associations.
Commenting on the occasion,Y.K Koo, MD, Hyundai Motor India said, “Hyundai is a responsible car manufacturer and India’s most loved car brand, it is our responsibility to apprise children about the importance of Traffic Safety for a better future. Children are the future of a nation and ‘Traffic Safety campaign’ is an effort to reach out to the children to educate them with best practices of traffic safety.”
The Korean brand has also launched ‘Kids Hyundai’ (www.kids.hyundai.co.in), a specially designed website aimed at children, pertaining to traffic and safety rules and regulations.
