Jeep have revealed the all-new Compass, in celebration of the start of production of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ (FCA) new plant in Brazil.
The all-new Jeep Compass will be produced with 17 fuel-efficient powertrain options for customers worldwide, in over 100 different markets. It expands the brand’s global reach with an unmatched combination of attributes that includes legendary and best-in-class 4×4 off-road capability and authentic Jeep design with a host of safety and advanced technology.
The version for the Indian market will be locally manufactured at FCA’s facility in Ranjangaon and will be rolled out next year. We expect the new Compass to pack the company’s tried-and-tested 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel MultiJet II engine with either 140 or 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque, mated to a new 948TE nine-speed automatic transmission with 4×4 drive.
More information of the new compact SUV will be available at the Jeep’s North American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
