Home / Home / Alfa Romeo Giulia: Dazzle Mode

Alfa_Romeo_GiuliaAlfa Romeo are set to revive the Giulia – an all-new 159 replacement – targeted squarely at the BMW 3 Series.

Yes, we know that Alfa Romeo aren’t here in India yet, but they very well could be soon.

Thanks to FIAT-Chrysler’s aggressive new policies, we can also be sure of Maserati introducing the Ghibli very soon to take on the Jaguar XF as well as top models of the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Audi A6. Given that they don’t have a smaller product in their exclusive arsenal, it would be only logical that Alfa step in and bring the segment some much-needed Italian flair and passion.

One look at the Giulia and you just know it’s a special car. The clean lines, distinct styling and unmistakeable Alfa design elements make it not just extremely desirable, but oh-so utterly gorgeous as well. The sculpted look, the flowing lines, lack of unnecessary over-styling and attention to detail all stand out as strong as the first flower of spring. And then there’s the engines: 1.4-litre turbo-four with 170 PS, a 1.75-litre TBi turbo-four with 200 PS and of course the MultiJet diesel-derived JTD models with up to 200 PS accompanied by a deluge of torque. Alfa are also expected to offer Q2 two-wheel drive and Q4 all-wheel drive variants.

Alfas. They may not have the ‘badge value’ of the Germans, but when you think outside of your pocket and take in the car for all its worth, that’s when the soul shines on you. Well done, Alfa Romeo. Very well done indeed!
