The Italians are on a rampage at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show. Alfa Romeo have unveiled their latest offering to the automotive world in the form of the 4C coupé.
This limited edition roadster has been termed as a ‘super coupé’ and Alfa Romeo officials have revealed that only 1000 units will be available worldwide (400 in Europe, 500 in North America and the remaining 100 for the rest of the world). The 4C sports a radical new direct-injection 240 PS Turbo Petrol engine mated with Alfa Romeo’s TCT twin dry-clutch transmission. The most dynamic feature of the 4C coupe would have to be the new Alfa DNA selector with ‘Race’ mode; which deactivates the stability control and anti-slip systems, giving the driver full control of the excitement.
The exterior of the 4C has been moulded at the famed Alfa design center, utilising carbon fibre trim and the ‘Carrara White’ body colour and bi-LED lights embodies that perfect Italian coupe look. The interior of the car is designed and built for deriving maximum driving satisfaction and luxury. The dashboard and door panels have an ‘asphalt’ treatment quite similar to the Alfa Romeo 4C which is simply elegant. Officials at the press conference have also revealed that the 4C will be at a priced at just over € 60,000 (approximately INR 42.9 lakh) in the European markets.
