Looking to capitalize on the festival buzz, Ford India launched the new Figo today at an attractive price of INR 384,999 for the petrol and INR 481,999 for the diesel model, both prices ex-showroom Thane.
The new model will be offered in four variants – LXI, EXI, ZXI, and Titanium – for both the petrol and diesel versions. No changes have been made to the engines, which remain a 1.2l 16-valve DOHC Duratec petrol and a 1.4l 8-valve SOHC diesel. Ford has however done some minor tweaking for better pickup and smoother gear shifts. Features include a redesigned hexagonal front grille, new alloy wheels, new tail lamps, and a subtle rear spoiler. Upholstery, dashboard, and door linings are in a two-toned beige combination, further enhancing the feeling of spaciousness and giving it an upmarket touch. There is also better lumbar support and improved door sealings for a quieter cabin. Steering-mounted audio controls are on offer on the higher variants.
