The Lexus RC F is a high-performance car that has been designed to reward drivers of all abilities – be it an expert track driver, or a petrol head who loves to gun it on an open road.
The RC F is the most powerful V8 road car Lexus has ever made. Powering the coupé is a new 5.0-litre V8 engine, producing 477.5 PS and 530 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed Sports Direct Shift transmission, which gives the driver a choice of five operating modes – from fuel-efficient Eco to full-blooded Sport S+. It also offers the option to shift between manual and sequential shift control. The V8 engine clocks 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and races to a electronically governed top speed of 270.3 km/h.
Apart from the powerful engine, the RC F also features specifically designed and tuned suspension, chassis, brakes, an active rear wing and Torque Vectoring Differential. All of which works together to make sure that handling and safety are that much better.
The Lexus RC F will come in two variants for the UK market – the RC F (Rs 58.6 lakh) and the RC F Carbon (Rs 66.4 lakh), which comes with the Torque Vectoring Differential and Carbon Fiber Reinforced bonnet, roof and rear spoiler. Lexus will begin deliveries for the V8 coupé by January 2015.
