With the all-new Elantra Hyundai have decided to re-enter the premium car segment in India after a long break.
Designed on the lines of the ‘Fluidic’ concept that the company has been following in its latest cars, the Elantra sports brand-new looks and features. The ‘Fluidic’ design philosophy has been a hit in the Indian market with the styling of the Verna, i20 and i10 and is all set to take the luxury segment by storm with the latest Elantra.
The new Elantra is expected to come with two engine options: a 1.8-litre petrol and a 1.8-litre diesel. The car will compete against cars like the Škoda Superb, Renault Fluence, Chevrolet Cruze and Honda Civic with a price-tag of between Rs 13 lakh and Rs 16 lakh. Prices for the enw Elantra start at Rs 12.51 lakh (petrol) and Rs 12.91 lakh (diesel, ex-showroom, New Delhi).
