Mahindra production is back on track post the lockdown with employees following strict social distancing norms at their manufacturing plants.
After securing the necessary permissions from the government, Mahindra production resumes at their plants in Nashik, Haridwar and Igatpuri post the lockdown. Veejay Nakra, CEO, Automotive Division, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd, has taken to Twitter to announce the same. In the pictures he has uploaded, Mahindra employees are seen at their respective workstations and meetings at the manufacturing facilities. Each employee is armed with a personal protection kit and work has resumed in the best way possible when we take into account the restrictions imposed by social distancing and the lockdown.
Additionally, the manufacturer has also opened a few of its customer touchpoints in green and orange zones. Dealerships and showrooms that are now functional offer several contactless services to their customers. Even before the lockdown, Mahindra have shown interest in digitizing the process of purchasing a new car and availing existing customer benefits through contactless platforms.
Commenting about this move from Mahindra, Veejay Nakra said, “The launch of our unique ‘Contactless’ service, in addition to our newly launched ‘Own Online’ digital platform, will help us to provide a holistic and contactless sales and service experience to our customers. During these times, ensuring the safety of our customers through a hassle-free experience is of utmost importance to us. Our offering of ‘Contactless’ service experience digitally, supplements the safety precautions and strict guidelines we are implementing across all our touchpoints. We invite our customers to experience this all new way of interacting with Mahindra”.
The new guidelines in place guarantee that the customer will not have to come into direct contact with any sort of documents or payment methods while getting their cars serviced. Instead, all the information pertaining to the service and other details will be updated on the ‘With You Hamesha’ mobile app. CustomerLIVE is a unique feature that Mahindra offer. When requested, service advisors will go live with the customer over a video call to explain the repairs that were identified during the inspections. Once the service is done, the customer can opt to receive all the related documents on their phone using Whatsapp.
