The luxury sedan is priced between Rs 27-34 lakhs
Ladies and gentlemen, the Volvo S60 is here in India. The premium sedan will be available in both petrol and diesel variants – T6 AWD Petrol with 308PS and 440Nm and D5 Diesel with 208PS and 420 Nm, respectively – the former being the most powerful engine in its segment.
According to the official blurb, the S60 diesel and petrol variants hit the 100kmph mark in 8.1 seconds and 6.5 seconds respectively. Prices for the S60 begin at Rs 27 lakhs for the D5 Kinetic while the T6 Summum is priced at Rs 34 lakhs, ex-showroom, Mumbai.
President of Volvo Cars Malaysia, Göran Larsson, stated at the launch ceremony that the S60 was the most dynamic car that the company ever produced. Moreover, it has some of the latest features which are yet to debut in the company’s flagship models, such as the world’s first ‘Pedestrian Detection’ with full auto brake, Advanced Control with Torque Vectoring, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Laser Assisted Automatic Braking, City Safety, Turn with steering lights (Active Bending Lights) amongst others.
