Volkswagen India commences the pre-launch bookings for the 21st century third-gen Beetle. The pre-launch bookings are open for a limited number of cars at select Volkswagen showrooms around the country.
According to the company the Beetle launch is just around the corner and for those who want to pre-book can do so at www.bookmybeetle.com.
Commenting on the occasion, Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, said, “Beetle is an icon of automotive history and its launch in the latest avatar is a moment of celebration for Volkswagen in India. Beetle reflects the fundamental attitude of its owner. So we have made its booking opportunity also as a special experience for the Beetle enthusiasts. The combination of performance, design, equipment and exclusive availability will ensure that the 21st-century Beetle is all set to write its next historic chapter in India.”
The new Beetle comes with the 1.4-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine making 150PS, and is mated to a seven-speed twin-clutch DSG automatic. The third-gen Beetle also has a host of features including a panoramic sun-roof, a leather interior, and bi-xenon headlamps. The safety kit includes ABS with EBD, ESP as well as six airbags. The price will be announced at launch, expected in the range of Rs 25 lakh.
