Toyota’s Liva has been given a dash of extra verve for the upcoming festive season. Dual-tone seems to be the theme of the day, because the car has been given the two-colour treatment on both the outside and the inside.
The car gets a snazzy black roof that is quite visually appealing, and the grille too has been blacked-out so that the carpet matches the drapes. Spoiler alert! (Literally) because there’s also a black spoiler thrown into the mix, with blacked-out rear-view mirrors rounding off the whole affair. New 15” alloys have also been added, surprisingly though, they haven’t been sprayed black.
On the inside, the Liva gets the two-tone treatment in terms of the seat fabric, and also gets a new wood-finish dash. Equipment wise, the car gets a new Bluetooth integrated audio system, and safety has been ramped up with the introduction of with dual front SRS airbags along with front seatbelts with pre-tensioner and “force limiter” technology.
Akitoshi Takemura, Senior VP, Toyota Kirloskar Motor spoke about this, the new Liva, saying, “It is our endeavour to continuously upgrade our offerings in line with the changing lifestyle preferences of our customers. With the Etios Series receiving Most Promising Brand 2015 by the Economic Times, we are confident the New Liva will further delight our customers this auspicious season”.
This new Liva is priced at Rs 5.76 lakh for the petrol model and Rs. 6.79 lakh for the diesel one, both ex-showroom Delhi, and will hit showrooms in tome for this festive season. Those looking for the Liva 1.5-litre petrol TRD Sportivo will have a little less to celebrate however, because that particular variant has been now discontinued.
