Paris has always been the fashion capital of the world for many decades now, the city which boasts of love, fashion and style like no other place on the face of this earth.
The city which gave the world the pastry, the croissant, the Paris fashion week and the ultimate love landmark, the Eiffel Tower, is all set to offer the world its all new automotive masterpiece, the Peugeot Onyx concept supercar.
The Onyx was showcased to steal the limelight at Peugeot’s home motor show. Speaking about its design, interior designer Julien Cueff stated that he was inspired by an egg box! The outcome is a spellbinding concept with loads of carbonfibre, leather upholstery and a recycled newspaper dashboard, and copper exterior panels.
But just when you conclude that it is just a show car, you are in for a surprise, because underneath there’s some seriously advanced technology that’s been proven in the toughest arena i.e. motorsport. The Onyx’s engine is a 3.7 – litre turbo diesel V8 capable of generating 608PS. The chassis is inspired by motorsport technology, a full fledged carbonfibre monocoque, weighing in at a ridiculously low 100kg. This helps keep overall weight down to just 1,100kg and Peugeot claims that the Onyx can do 0-60 in a mere 3 seconds! As of now, Peugeot haven’t disclosed anything regarding when this concept will ever go into production, if at all. Hit the link below to see the official Onyx concept supercar video:
