Volvo_New_Face_2014_webVolvo have introduced the 2014 models of their S60 sedan and XC60 crossover SUV in India.

The new models bring in a smoother styling as far as the exterior is concerned, while the interior gets a slew of new equipment and technological updates, including paddle-shifters behind the steering wheel and a new digital instrument console among others. Volvo will also offer a selection of new upholstery and interior choices as well as new designs and sizes from their alloy-wheel portfolio.

Under the hood will be the familiar five-cylinder diesel engines: the 2.0-litre D4 with 163 PS and 400 Nm of torque, and the 2.4-litre D5 with 215 PS and 440 Nm of torque. Both engine option will continue to be offered with the six-speed Geartronic automatic transmission, but the big addition are the paddles behind the steering wheel which will enhance manual sport-mode experience for those behind the wheel. There is more visible difference between the Kinetic and Summum trims, with the latter now running 18″ wheels with 235-section rubber; on both the S60 and XC60.

Furthermore, Volvo will also introduce their Polestar performance upgrade packs for the D5 models in the near future. This option will take power and torque outputs up a notch with a 7% increase with figures of 230 PS and 470 Nm respectively.
