Rumours of a Suzuki S-Cross concept-based production car were put to rest today when Suzuki showcased their all new SX4 instead.
Suzuki’s concentrated efforts which were majorly based on customer feedback have finally taken form and their crossover was born. Now that they’ve gauged the market’s requirement, the SX4 Crossover will come with two engine options, a 1.6L petrol based on the M16A platform and a 1.6L diesel with a variable geometry turbocharger. Both will be mated to either a six-speed manual or a CVT automatic with paddle-shift 7-speed manual mode and will be available in both 2WD and 4WD modes. The new Suzuki SX4 also offers as an option a panoramic sunroof with double-sliding glass panels; which is said to be one of the biggest opening areas in its class. It’s expected to hit markets at the end of the third quarter of this year.
