Premier Auto recently launched a petrol version of the Premier Rio Mini SUV.
The petrol variant comes with a 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated MPFI petrol engine producing about 76 PS of peak power and 104 Nm of peak torque. This SUV has an ARAI certified fuel economy figure of 16 km per litre and it weighs 1,080 kg, 65 kg less than the diesel variant.
The base variant of the Premier Rio Mini SUV (petrol) is priced at Rs 4.7 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), which is cheaper by Rs 60,000 than the diesel variant. It is worth noting here that both the petrol and diesel engines in the Rio have near identical claimed fuel economy figure of 16 km per litre.
The Premier Rio Mini SUV will be available in four variants: EX, DX, LX and GLX. Of these, the base variant will have power steering, power-assisted front windows and air-conditioning as standard. The higher LX and GLX variants come with ABS and EBD, though a buyer can choose to eliminate ABS from the LX version.
Other creature comforts include electrically adjustable outside rear-view mirrors, rear wiper and defogger, split foldable rear seats and a factory-fitted music system.
