The Rainforest Challenge (RFC) India introduces the regional RFC in Chandigarh and Banglore on the 16th and 23rd of January respectively.
Force Gurkha RFC is the Indian chapter of the Rainforest Challenge, which is the first international offroad competition to make its way to India. Coguar Motorsport holds the Indian franchise for RFC, and have partnered with two off-roading clubs – Gerrari Offroaders Chandigarh and Banglore Offroaders Development Association (BODA) to conduct regional rainforest challenges.
In Chandigarh, the regional RFC event will be held at the Forest Hill Resort on the outskirts of Chandigarh on the 16th and 17th of January 2016, and in Banglore it will be held 60 km away from the city at a camping site on the 23rd and 24th of January 2016. The winners from each regional challenge will get a direct entry to the Force Gurkha Rainforest Challenge India in Goa from the 22nd to the 29th of July 2016.
Commenting on the occasion, Ashish Gupta, Founder & Director, Cougar Motorsport, said, “The objective of launching the Regional Chapters is to demystify RFC India for a majority of the offroading enthusiasts of the country who have been unable to witness the Mother Event in Goa so far. The BODA and Gerrari Offroaders annual events are among the most prestigious off-road events of the country where off-roaders from all parts of the country converge for adventure, bonding and knowledge sharing. We want to give them a taste of RFC India, right from vehicle preparation to the toughness quotient of the competition, by inviting them to compete in a few Special Stages at a nominal cost.”
