Hyundai Tucson

hyundai tucson suv launch

The new Hyundai Tucson will be launched on July 14. The car was shown to the public earlier this year at the 2020 Auto Expo. The new Tucson receives BS6 updates, a new transmission for the diesel variants and some visual updates as well. Under the hood, the Tucson will continue to draw power from the 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines from the previous model, now up to BS6 standards, of course. While the petrol mill is mated to a six-speed automatic, the diesel engine gets a new eight-speed automatic transmission. The former is expected to churn out 152 hp while the latter will produce 185 hp. Hyundai will price the new Tucson at a premium over the outgoing model. The car will go up against the Škoda Karoq, Jeep Compass and the Honda CR-V.

Honda City

The petrol variants draw power from a new 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine that can be mated to either a CVT or a six-speed manual gearbox with 121 hp and 145 Nm on tap. Diesel variants are equipped with a 1.5-litre i-DTEC unit that comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Power and torque figures stand at 100 hp and 200 Nm respectively.
