Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) recently launched the new-look SX4 at an unchanged price of Rs 7.38-9.21 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new version of the car is 10mm longer than the previous version. On the outside, the car sports a new chrome front grille with horizontal lines, a redesigned dual-tone bumper, and electronically-foldable outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs) with integrated turn indicators. On the inside, the interiors are in a new dual-tone black and beige shade, there is a new touchscreen audio visual navigation (AVN) system with Bluetooth, and the AC vents and inside door handles come with chrome surrounds and marble print trim.
Engine options remain the same – the 1.6 litre VVT petrol and the acclaimed 1.3 litre Super Turbo diesel. Fuel economy is claimed to be 16.51 kpl for the petrol, 21.79 kpl for the diesel, and 22.1 km/kg for the CNG version. Pricing is in the range of Rs 7.38-8.24 lakh for the petrol, Rs 8.27-9.21 lakh for the diesel, and Rs 7.99 lakh for the CNG version (all ex-showroom Delhi).
The SX4 was first launched in 2007, with the diesel version being launched in 2011. MSIL has sold over 1.08 lakh SX4s in India till date.
