Bavarian behemoths BMW have launched their newest product in the Indian market – the X6.
Priced at Rs 1.15 crore, this ‘sports activity coupé’ as BMW brand it is the first design of its kind to be sold in India. Available as the xDrive 40d, it is powered by an in-line six TwinPower Turbo diesel engine, the X6 produces 313 PS at 4,400 RPM and 630 Nm between 1,500 and 2,500 RPM. This allows to a claimed 0-100 km/h time of 5.8 seconds and a ceiling speed of 240 km/h. The engine is mated to the new second-gen ZF 8HP eight-speed automatic transmission, mated to the xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system, with paddle shift options to help achieve those speeds. The car is also available in a Design Pure Extravagance package as an optional extra.

The car will enter India via the CBU route, and is available in showrooms across India in four colour options.
