The crossover market has a brand new addition in the form of the Jaguar F-Pace. This crossover is an absolute first from Indian-owned British manufacturers Jaguar. And being Jaguar, you know they’re going to make the car a performance machine, no matter the genre. Jaguar are also offering all-wheel drive on this car, along with torque vectoring, torque-on-demand, and advanced-tech chassis components lifted straight out of the F-Type. The ride quality has been administered a fresh approach too, with a double wishbone front suspension and integral-link rear suspension found on the F-Pace.
Jaguar’s Chief Engineer Mike Cross spoke about the F-Pace and its development – he said, “We haven’t made any compromises or exceptions: the new F-Pace must be a true Jaguar and deliver the Jaguar dynamics DNA.”
“We’ve tested ride and handling to extremities in all environments and in all conditions, and the result is that the new F-Pace is as engaging and rewarding to drive as it is going to be enjoyable to own. As soon as you get into the vehicle you know immediately that it’s a great place to be.”
The F-Pace will hit showrooms by 2016. More details regarding the car will emerge at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show in September, where it makes its official bow to the automotive world. However we expect it to have the new line of 2.0-litre Ingenium turbo-diesels as well as the new 3.0-litre V6 with 300PS and 700Nm.
