IIT Bombay Racing have announced a technical collaboration with TE Connectivity to develop their new racing car – the EVo 4.0. The electric car will be pitched against 100 competitors across the globe at the Formula Student 2015 event in Silverstone, UK. The event will be held between 9th and 12th of July this year.
The EVo 4.0 is capable of reaching triple digit speeds in 3.5 seconds and has a top-speed of 111 km/h. TE Connectivity products on the car include AMP+ HVP 800 headers, AMP+ manual service disconnect, high-current relays, and high-voltage contactors.
Commenting on the occasion, Vishwanath S, Director, Transportation, TE in India said, “We believe in championing the next generation of engineers and have partnered with several institutions globally to encourage and excite students about science and innovation. We are confident that the IIT Bombay racing team will make India proud, and we wish the team the best of luck for the race.”
