Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) have launched the new generation of the Elantra at an introductory price of Rs 12.99 lakh, ex-showroom, New Delhi. The Elantra will be available in two variants – petrol and diesel, with three trim levels – S, SX and SX(O), for each variant. The petrol Elantra is powered by a 1,999-cc engine with 152 PS and 192 Nm on tap. Meanwhile, the diesel Elantra uses a 1,582-cc turbocharged engine with an output of 128 PS and 260 Nm. Transmission options range from a six-speed manual to a six-speed automatic.
“Currently in its sixth generation the all new Elantra builds upon the momentum and success of its award winning history with strong value proposition,” said Y K Koo, MD and CEO, HMIL, at the launch of the Elantra.
