Honda is launching the new CRV soft-roader in India on 12 February.
To be offered with two petrol engine variants, a 2.0 litre and the other 2.4 litre, the CRV is expected to be priced between Rs 19 – 25 lakh (ex-showroom).While the 2 litre will be offered only in 2wheel-drive configuration with a choice of automatic or manual transmissions, the 2.4 litre version will be offered with automatic transmission only, and in two variants – both with permanent 4-wheel drive. That makes for a total of four variants for the new CRV – the top of which is fully loaded and comes with almost all creature comforts that one can think of in an SUV of its segment.
We have just driven the new CRV in Udaipur and our first impressions of the SUV have been highly favourable. Wait for the March issue of Car India for more dope on the CRV.
