The first four-seater in Prancing Horse history to sport a turbocharged V8 engine. The new GTC4Lusso T is aimed at owners seeking a car that is perfect for driving on a daily basis.
The car’s new 3.9-litre turbocharged V8 engine is the latest evolution to emerge from Ferrari’s engine family. It now produces 610 PS and an equally impressive torque figure of 760 Nm. Power is now fed only to the rear wheels via a familiar seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
The GTC4Lusso T’s dynamic control systems have been calibrated to boost responsiveness to commands. In particular, the 4WS (Rear-Wheel Steering), which is integrated with Side Slip Control (SSC3), makes for more rapid response to steering-wheel inputs when entering and exiting corners, thanks to the rear wheels steering the same direction as the front ones.
The feeling of performance at low speed in this new model has been enhanced by Variable Boost Management which delivers zero-lag response and more linear power delivery across the rev range. The styling on the GTC4Lusso T remains the same as its V12 sibling but, because there is no four-wheel drive, it weighs 1,740 kg – 50 kg less than the V12 version.
The Ferrari GTC4Lusso T will be officially revealed to the world at the Paris Motor Show later this week. Expect it to arrive in India next year with a price-tag around Rs 4 crore.
