Ford_web1Ford India and National Geographic channel have announced MyEndeavouralterrain, a new five-part adventure driving series featuring five celebrities driving the new Ford Endeavour Alterrain Edition across different routes and topographies.

Writer Chetan Bhagat will be driving to Junagarh, Gujarat to meet India’s only African tribe and to endeavor to “connect” with remote and rural India. Filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor, owner of a Honda CR-V, endeavors to complete an unfinished road trip he undertook in 1995 and possibly base a forthcoming film on this experience. Olympic boxer Vijender Singh, himself an Endeavor owner, will be driving through Rajasthan to the Indo-Pak border post. Actor Gul Panag endeavors to cover the Goa-to-Hampi route and capture this in a coffee table book or travel book she plans to write. Actor Rajeev Khandelwal, owner of a Honda CR-V and a customised Mahindra, endeavors to drive from Dibrugarh, Assam to Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh.

All participants will be driving the new Ford Endeavour Alterrain Edition. Interior enhancements include wood paneling, shift-on-the-fly 4WD, touchscreen satellite navigation, reversing camera, and a new audio control stalk. Changes to the exterior include new alloys, a redesigned front grille and nameplate badge, front nudge bar, roof tray, rear spoiler, chrome exhaust trim, and a fifth door mirror, apart from a distinctive ‘Alterain’ decal. This version is priced at 23.3 lakh rupees (ex-showroom Delhi).

MyEndeavouralterrain will be telecast in five one-hour episodes from May 2013 onwards.Ford_Web3
